Levy Paying Employers

As an approved member of the “Register of Approved Apprenticeship Training Providers” (ROATP) KS Training offer a range of apprenticeship training courses for Levy Paying Employers.

Just to clarify, Levy Paying Employers are those employers with an annual employee wage of more than £3 million. HMRC makes a charge of 0.5% of their monthly payroll and puts it into a levy pot topped up by the government each month. This levy pot is accessible via the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS), an online portal accessible to employers via their registration login details.

As an employer by simply registering you can see at any given time how much money you have in your account and select from training providers on “Register of Approved Apprenticeship Training Providers” (ROATP) what courses are available and then select which of your employees you wish to recommend for apprenticeship funding.

You do not have direct access to the actual funds, they are paid directly from the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA – https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/education-and-skills-funding-agency)  to the training provider once the information has been submitted to the DAS.

If an employer runs out of funds but still wants more apprentices they automatically switch to the Non-Levy paying model.
